Unlock the possibilities of your next treasure hunting experience with the Nokta FORS Relic Metal Detector! Built on the famous FORS platform, the FORS Relic offers new features and unbelievable unmasking capabilities for relic as well as coin, jewellery and even nugget hunting. Operating at a very sensitive frequency of 19kHz, the FORS Relic features 6 search modes, iMASK (Intelligent Masking) for challenging soils, Tone Break and adjustable Iron Volume.

6 SEARCH MODES:
– With the General Search (GEN) Mode, the FORS Relic penetrates deep into the ground to detect all kinds of targets with a modulated tone response.
– The Discrimination (DI2) Mode provides two tones of discrimination for clean fields without a whole lot of trash. – Swift (SWT) Mode is a two tone disc mode designed for detecting in areas with a high density of targets or challenging soil types like goldfield mining camps. It is perfect for coin hunting in that it has faster target detection and recovery speed.
– DI3 (3-tone) discrimination mode is ideal for hunting coins among modern trash, with three separate tones for more differentiation between target types.
– The FORS Relic also includes a mode specifically for relics and general deeper detection called Deep (DEP) Mode. – Conductive Ground (COG) mode is programmed specifically for detecting in conductive ground such as high salt soils, wet beach sand, inland salt lakes etc. The best part of the COG mode is that it does not respond to ferrous targets and cancels the ground with ease.

What really sets the FORS Relic apart is its superior discrimination ability that its competitors simply cannot match. It can locate coins and relics among the trashiest sites and even sweep through high iron contamination areas that would otherwise be missed by other detectors. With two search coils included as standard, this is an extremely versatile unit that can be used for a number of applications, from coin detecting, relic hunting, gold prospecting, beach and industrial uses.

INCLUDES TWO COILS AS STANDARD:
– The 11×7″ Double D coil provides greater ground coverage and depth on larger targets, and its open design is perfectly suited for hunting around shallow water.
– The 5″ Double D coil offers enhanced sensitivity and unmasking ability, and perfect for rocky or cluttered terrains.

I’ve owned alot of detectors over the years and I try not to get pigeonholed into buying from the same manufacturers all the time. Nokta are hardly a new player anymore but when I was looking for a new vlf detector for coinshooting relics and the odd bit of bedrock chasing the yellow stuff I kept coming back to Nokta. After contacting Nenad and he did me a good deal on some other gear and the Fors Relic I have to say I’m 100% happy with my purchase. It only took one night to start pulling coins at 30cm and I learned quickly to tune out the junk. All the features are there: led for night detecting, visual and audio response, great all round buy. With the two coils you really can’t look past this detector at the price point.

I’ve had the relic for a few months now and although my coin hunting experience is limited and I haven’t used other metal detectors for coins I can say that the simplicity and versatility of the relic have helped me out.

What drew me in to the Relic was the extra coil, LED light built in, good reviews, sensitivity to gold, price and the fact Nenad was more than happy to make a deal with me as well as his great service and exchanging of emails unlike quite a few other companies I’ve dealt with (actually come to think of it, every company I’ve dealt with is hopeless!)

First hunt uncovered my first two silvers (a shilling and a sixpence both were 1940’s), few weeks later found a King William iv half penny badly corroded which dates between 1830-1837 and not long after that found an excellent condition 1834 silver shilling which is apparently quite a rare find especially in Australia. Since then I’ve found hundreds in modern currency and a few silvers as well as rings, pendants etc

To sum it up, although the relic isn’t marketed as a coin hunter it seems to do alright for me and to be honest it’s a good all-rounder, I’ll be headed to hill end in October and if I’m incredibly lucky I’ll have some gold to write another review.
